LOCATION
Leave the M61 at junction 6, sign posted A6027 and follow signs to Chorley (left, from south - right, from north). At the roundabout (approx. 800m) turn right onto the A6, still following signs for Chorley. Proceed through one set of traffic lights past the Ridgeway Public House and continue to Adlington. Turn right after the White Bear Public House and the small corner store adjoining to the left. This is the entrance to the Fairport Car Park.
From the North - Proceed onto the M61 and follow directions above from junction 6. From the South - Leave the M6 at junction 27 sign posted A5209 and follow signs for Standish and Chorley (Right). At the tee junction, at the end of the spur road turn left onto the A5209 still following signs for Standish and Chorley. Stay on this road until a set of traffic lights on a skew junction. Proceed through these lights at Standish towards Chorley. Approx. 500 past the Owls Restaurant, proceed under a traffic light controlled railway bridge towards Chorley. At the Tee junction opposite the Standish Works, turn left up a steep incline onto the A5106. Follow this road past Kilhey Court Leisure facilities towards Chorley. At the traffic lights turn right onto the A6, towards Adlington. Proceed through a further set of traffic lights where the road forks, stay on the A6, right hand fork, (sign posted Manchester). Fairport is 1.5 miles, on the next roundabout.
