Project - K010, Raw Materials Handling. Location - Rugby, Warwickshire. Value - £3.5m. Client - The R80 Alliance. Contract. Fairport Engineering undertook the contract to design, build and commission the Fuel & Raw Materials Handling Plant for the Rugby Works Upgrade for Rugby Cement. The plant has been designed to receive and reclaim; 1500 tonnes coal, 1700 tonnes petcoke, 8000 tonnes clay, 200 tonnes oxide, and 1200 tonnes of sand to provide fuel and raw materials to the new Rugby Works. The scope of works also included, belt conveyors, reception feeders and extraction equipment. |
