Fluidised Bed Dryer. Our equipment is found in many industries where powders or granular materials are processed in bulk or on a continuous basis. Typical examples are the preparation of graded and dried sand, the reduction in moisture content of cereals etc.. The machine consists of a perforated steel deck enclosed in a chamber. The complete unit is vibrated using out-of-balance electric motors, ensuring the powder is conveyed along the length of the machine. When the machine is designed as a dryer, heated air or other gas is fed into the base of the machine using fans and ducting. The design of the machine ensures good contact between the solid particles and the heated air giving rapid drying times. After the air has passed through the bed of particles, it is recovered using appropriate equipment, such as cyclones or filters and either exhausted into the atmosphere or re-cycled in order to conserve energy. Fairport can manufacture and supply most of the powder handling equipment associated with this machine, including screw conveyors, vibrating feeders, bucket elevators and cyclones. |
