Project - Sodium Bicarbonate
Facility. Location - Northwich, Cheshire. Client - Brunner Mond & Co. Ltd. Contract. Working in conjunction with Fairport Engineering, Process Systems were responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of the PLC control systems for the new Sodium Bicarbonate Screening, Storage and Packing plant for Brunner Mond. The system comprised; Three distributed operator interface networked to a single PLC. This provides, full colour interactive displays for the operator allowing complete control of; Plant Sequence controls, Maintenance operations, Packing and outloading control and alarm and event handling. The plant also included a Flexible I/O distributed around the plant which allowed major cost and time savings in the cable design, installation and commissioning. PC based production scheduling for storage and packing the range of Bicarbonate products. |
