Regent's Canal

The Regent's Canal runs from Paddington Basin to Limehouse Basin. It was opened in 1816 to Camden and in 1820 to Limehouse Basin. It is 9 miles long and has 12 locks.

The canal was planned by the architect John Nash for the Prince Regent, George IV and it runs along the northern edge of Regent's Park.
